Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is Stashem?
A: Stashem lets creators raise funds from their community, while backers hold creator tokens and receive monthly backers rewards.
Q: What is a Stashem Token?
A: Stashem Token represents a contractual relationship between a Creator and the current
Token Owner.
It does not mean you own the person.
It does not give you equity in the Creator or their business.
It does not give you ownership of the Creator’s income, content or intellectual property.
The rights attached to the Token are defined by the Stashem Token Contract.
Q: How many Tokens does a Creator have?
A: Every Creator starts with a fixed supply of 10,000 Tokens.
The Creator decides their Token price and when to make Tokens available.
A Creator’s first release starts with 5 Tokens.
Q: What are Backer Rewards?
A: Backer Rewards are monthly rewards set by the Creator, starting at $10 per month.
Backer Rewards are funded by the Creator and distributed among eligible Token Owners based on how many eligible Tokens they hold.
Q: Who funds Backer Rewards?
A: The Creator funds Backer Rewards.
They are charged separately to the Creator’s approved card on file.
Backer Rewards do not come from the Creator’s Token-sale earnings or Stashem Wallet balance.
Q: Why are Backer Rewards important?
A: Backer Rewards connect Creator funding with Token Owner rewards.
Before investor funds become eligible to move to the Creator, the Creator must meet the applicable Backer Rewards requirement.
No Backer Rewards, no corresponding investor funds move to the Creator.
This keeps the two sides of the Stashem model connected.
Q: Does the Creator receive my entire investment immediately?
A: No.
Stashem is designed so that an investor’s full commitment is not released to the Creator upfront.
Creator funding is released in stages under Stashem’s applicable investment and Backer Rewards rules. For example, under a 12-period investment structure, only the applicable portion becomes eligible to move to the Creator during each period.
Q: What happens to the rest of my investment?
A: The portion that has not yet been released to the Creator remains subject to Stashem’s applicable holding, withdrawal, payment and deposit-hold rules.
This is different from giving the Creator your entire committed amount on day one.
Q: When can I withdraw?
A: After holding your Tokens for at least 30 days, you may request withdrawal of eligible funds under Stashem’s withdrawal rules.
Amounts already released to a Creator, pending transactions, deposit holds, completed purchases and other applicable conditions may affect the amount available to withdraw.
Q: Can a Creator take all of my money and disappear?
A: Stashem is designed to prevent a Creator from receiving an investor’s entire commitment upfront.
Creator funding is staged, and the applicable release of investor funds is connected to the Creator’s Backer Rewards obligation.
Stashem also maintains records of Tokens, payouts and ownership activity.
Financial risk still exists, but the model is designed differently from a system where all committed capital immediately goes to the Creator.
Q: What happens if a Creator does not pay Backer Rewards?
A: If the applicable Backer Rewards requirement is not satisfied, the corresponding investor funds do not move to the Creator.
Stashem may also apply account, Token-sale or other restrictions under its Platform Terms.
Q: What happens if a Creator has no investors?
A: If there are no eligible Token Owners for the applicable payout period, the Creator can receive the eligible Backer Rewards amount back according to Stashem’s rules.
If there are no Token Owners, no Backer Rewards are distributed for that cycle.
Q: Is there a limit to how many Tokens I can own from one Creator?
A: Yes.
A Stashem member can own a maximum of 100 Tokens from any individual Creator.
This helps distribute Token ownership across the Stashem community and limits concentration in a single Creator.
Q: How do I buy Creator Tokens?
A: First, add funds to your Stashem Wallet using an eligible card. You can then use your available Wallet balance to place orders for Creator Tokens.
All Token purchases on Stashem execute using funds from the Stashem Wallet.
Q: Does my money go directly from my card to a Creator?
A: No.
The flow is:
Your Card → Stashem Wallet → Token Investment → Eligible Creator Funding
Stashem records the transaction and applies the applicable Backer Rewards, holding, settlement and funding rules before funds become eligible to move to the Creator.
Q: Can I get unused money in my Stashem Wallet back?
A: Yes.
Eligible unused funds that you personally added to your Stashem Wallet can be requested back. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method and may take up to 14 business days.
Wallet refunds are different from earnings payouts.
Q: How do I earn money on Stashem?
A: Depending on how you use Stashem, eligible earnings may include:
-
Backer Rewards received from Creators
-
Creator proceeds from eligible Token sales
Your earnings are tracked separately from money you personally add to your Stashem Wallet.
Q: How do I receive my earnings?
A: Users provide an eligible debit card for earnings payouts.
Eligible earnings accumulated during the applicable billing cycle are automatically scheduled for payout to that debit card on the 28th of the month.
Q: Who decides a Token’s price?
A: Users do.
Creators decide the price at which they make Tokens available.
Buyers decide what they are willing to pay. Stashem does not guarantee or artificially set a Token’s future value.
Q: Can Token prices go down?
A: Yes.
Token prices can move up or down based on the prices Creators make Tokens available at and what members are willing to pay. Stashem does not guarantee Token appreciation or future demand.
Q: What market information can I see?
A: Stashem provides information such as:
-
Live Token prices
-
Buy orders
-
Recent activity
-
Historical price charts
-
Token performance
-
Creator information
-
Portfolio activity
You see the market. You decide.
Q: Are Stashem Tokens shares in a person?
A: No.
Stashem Tokens are not shares of ownership in a human being.
They represent specific contractual rights between a Creator and the current Token Owner as defined by the Stashem Token Contract.
Q: Do I own part of the Creator’s business?
A: No.
Holding Creator Tokens does not automatically give you:
-
Equity in the Creator’s business
-
Voting rights
-
Ownership of Creator revenue
-
Ownership of content
-
Ownership of intellectual property
-
Control over the Creator
You receive only the rights expressly associated with the Token.
Q: Is Stashem a crypto exchange?
A: No.
Stashem operates as a closed People Investment Ecosystem.
Members fund their Stashem Wallet using supported payment methods, and Tokens remain within Stashem.
Stashem does not require users to send Creator Tokens to external crypto wallets in order to participate.
Q: Who can use Stashem?
A: Stashem is currently for users aged 18 and older who meet Stashem’s eligibility and verification requirements.
Q: Are Stashem users verified?
A: Yes.
Stashem uses identity-verification controls before enabling applicable functionality.
Identity verification is currently supported through Didit.
Verification helps Stashem maintain a closed ecosystem of identifiable members.
Q: How are payments processed?
A: Stashem uses PayPal-supported payment infrastructure for applicable payment functionality.
Payment processing may be subject to authorization, settlement, deposit holds, fraud review and other payment-provider requirements.
Q: Is Stashem available worldwide?
A: Stashem is currently focused on the United States.
Availability may expand to additional markets over time, subject to Stashem’s operational and regulatory requirements.
Q: Is Stashem risk-free?
A: No financial platform should be described as risk-free.
Creator Token prices can change. Demand can change. Creators may also change in popularity, activity or financial circumstances.
Stashem is designed with controls including:
-
Verified adult members
-
A closed Token ecosystem
-
A maximum of 100 Tokens per Creator per member
-
Staged Creator funding
-
Backer Rewards requirements
-
A 30-day minimum holding period
-
Deposit and settlement controls
-
Recorded Token ownership
-
Recorded payouts
These controls are designed to make the
Stashem model more transparent and structured, but they do not eliminate financial risk.
Q: Is Stashem legit?
A: Stashem is an active platform built around a defined system of verified users, Creator Tokens, contractual Token rights, Wallet funding, Backer Rewards and staged Creator payments. Stashem is not designed around anonymous Token ownership or giving a Creator an investor’s full commitment upfront.
Before participating, every user should understand: what the Token represents, how Backer Rewards work, when Creator funding is released, how withdrawals work and the risks associated with Token ownership.
Stashem makes those mechanics visible so users can make their own decisions.
Q: What makes Stashem different?
A: Stashem closes the loop by making value move both ways: Backers fund Creators. Creators reward Backers.
Stashem connects both sides of the same relationship: people building something and people who believe in them.
For Creators, Stashem creates a continuous cycle:
Create → Get Backed → Build → Reward → Grow → Repeat
And for Backers, it turns support into an rewarding relationship:
Discover → Back → Hold → Get Rewarded → Repeat
